Griet Skryf 'n Sprokie is Pierre van Pletzen's adaptation for the stage of the novel by Marita van der Vyver. Griet writes stories to cope with the trauma of a divorce and three miscarriages.

Presented by the Independent Performance Trust at the KKNK and National Arts Festival, 1997, directed by Lizz Meiring assisted by Hannes Muller, featuring Susan Coetzer, Isadora Verwey, Christo Compion, Hannes van Wyk, Judy le Roux. This production was also staged at the Arena, State Theatre in May and June 1997.
