Performance history in South Africa

1986: Presented by Truk Toneel at the Alexander Theatre, Johannesburg and the State Theatre, Pretoria. Directed by Carel Trichardt, design by Stan Knight, lighting design by Jacques Mulder, costumes designed by Delene Holt and co-ordinated by Bronwen Lovegrove. The cast: Schalk Schoombie, Karin Retief, Christine Basson, Johan Malherbe, David Clatworthy, Charlotte Butler and Lizz Meiring.

1986: A SWAPAC production of the play, under the direction of Mees Xteen played to full houses in Windhoek, but the planned subsequent tour had to be cancelled because it was considered by some to be objectionable and disgusting.

1994: Staged by the University of Pretoria Drama Department, directed by Carel Trichardt, with a cast of Drama students.

1994: The play was presented by Johann and Marinda Engelbrecht, who also directed, at The Barn in Port Elizabeth with a group of amateur actors in June.

1999: Produced by the Drama Department of the University of the Free State, supported by the ATKV, featuring Nico Luwes, Anton Welman, Louis van Eeden, Deon Botha, Stephnie Brink, Alta Kriel, Liesl Marx, Maderé Beukes, Zunelle Breytenbach and Alet Luwes. Directed by Gerben Kamper.
