Performance history in South Africa

Presented by Truk Toneel at the Alexander Theatre, Johannesburg and the State Theatre, Pretoria in 1996. Directed by Carel Trichardt, design by Stan Knight, lighting design by Jacques Mulder, costumes designed by Delene Holt and co-ordinated by Bronwen Lovegrove. The cast: Schalk Schoombie, Karin Fourie, Christine Basson, Johan Malherbe, David Clatworthy, Charlotte Butler and Lizz Meiring.

A SWAPAC production of the play, under the direction of Mees Xteen played to full houses in Windhoek in 1986, but the planned subsequent tour had to be cancelled because it was considered by some to be objectionable and disgusting.

The play was presented by Johann and Marinda Engelbrecht, who also directed, at The Barn in Port Elizabeth with a group of amateur actors in June 1994.

Produced by the Drama Department of the University of the Free State, supported by the ATKV in 1999, featuring Nico Luwes, Anton Welman, Louis van Eeden, Deon Botha, Stephnie Brink, Alta Kriel, Liesl Marx, Maderé Beukes, Zunelle Breytenbach and Alet Luwes. Directed by Gerben Kamper.
