Written in the form of a live radio play on stage, it takes a comic look at what happens behind the scenes in a radio studio, with a group of actors, a producer and a writer assembled in a radio studio to record a weekly "[[soapie]]" called ''The Soul of Sister Serious''. Sub-titled ''What you hear is only half the story …''. Some of the characters are taken from ''[[Radio Vuka]]'', a [[SAfm]] radio play, for which Slabolepszy is head writer.

The original text

Written in the form of a live radio play on stage, it takes a comic look at what happens behind the scenes in a radio studio, with a group of actors, a producer and a writer assembled in a radio studio to record a weekly "soapie" called The Soul of Sister Serious. Sub-titled What you hear is only half the story …. Some of the characters are taken from Radio Vuka, a SAfm radio play, for which Slabolepszy is head writer.


South African performances

2008 First performed on the main programme of the National Arts Festival, produced by SAfm in association with the Festival, and directed by Ralph Lawson. The cast consisted of Michael Richard, Louise Saint-Claire, Esmeralda Bihl , Ralph Lawson, Samson Khumalo, Sibusiso Radebe and Paul Slabolepszy.

2008: Produced at Pieter Toerien’s Main Theatre, Montecasino, Johannesburg and the Theatre on the Bay, Cape Town. Once again directed by Ralph Lawson, this time featuring Patrick Shai, in the place of Samson Khumalo.
