Denise Stock (19**-). Actress, singer and voice artist.

Biography

She was born in England and settled in South Africa in 1984.

Training

Denise studied at Durham University, obtaining BA Honours in Drama.

Career

She Joined PACT in 1989.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

For PACT she appeared as Phoebe in As You Like It, as Alexandra in The Little Foxes, in Animal Farm and Jack and the Beanstalk. For Pieter Toerien Productions she performed in Lend Me a Tenor, The Sisters Rosensweig and Love, Julie. She has worked extensively for Janice Honeyman at the Civic Theatre in Tales from the Pleasure Palace, All in the Timing and A Tale of Two Cities.

Her musical experiences include Hair, The Jukebox Jol!, The Rocky Horror Show, Leader of the Pack, two productions of Oklahoma! and Summer Holiday.

Other productions include The Car (NAF Fringe, 1989) and El Grande de Coca Cola (1999), as well as The Kultcha Klub production of Educating Rita.

Awards, etc

She received a Vita nomination for her protrayal of Ado Annie in Oklahoma!.
