A comedy by American playwright Wendy Wasserstein [1] (1950-2006), The play focuses on three Jewish-American sisters and their lives. Wasserstein received the William Inge Award for Distinguished Achievement in American Theatre for this play.

The play first opened in April 1992 at the Seattle Repertory Theatre.

Presented by Pieter Toerien at the Alhambra Theatre opening 9 May 1995 and at the Theatre on the Bay opening 8 August 1995. Directed by Alan Swerdlow, production adviser Janet Suzman. The cast: Candice Derman {Tess Goode), Denise Stock (Pfeni Rosensweig), Lena Farugia (Sara Goode), Philip Godawa (Geoffrey Duncan), Peter J. Elliott (Mervyn Kant), Michele Maxwell (Gorgeous Teitelbaum), Mauro Faraoni (Tom Valianus), John Whiteley (Nicholas Pym). Set designed by Anne Carghill, set co-ordinated and lighting designed by Jannie Swanepoel, wardrobe co-ordinated by Colleen Moabelo.
