Criquet, ou L'Arlequin par Occasion is a comedy in one act by Sewrin (Charles-Augustin Bassompierre, 1771–1853)[1]

The original text

First performed in the Théâtre des Variétés in Paris on 28 July, 1812 and published by Barba in 1813.

Translations and adaptations

Translated into Dutch as Arlequin by Toeval, of Eene Weldaad Blijft Nooit Onbeloond ("Harlequin by chance, or a good deed never remains unrewarded") by Casper Vreedenberg (1772-1840)[2].

Published under the names of both authors by J.C. van Kesteren in 1818
