Worked at The Space in the 1970s and in 1977 he, Bill Curry, Dawie Malan and others formed the experimental theatre group Fringe.

Roles over the years in The Owl and the Pussycat (Academy Theatre, 1967), Don't Drink the Water, Endgame, Macrune’s Guevara, Medea, Tsafendas (all at the Space Theatre), and a number of plays by Pieter-Dirk Uys, including Black Beauty and the Boss (Pieter-Dirk Uys, Labia Theatre, 1976), Snow White and the Special Branch (Pieter-Dirk Uys, Labia Theatre, 1976), Info Scandals (Pieter-Dirk Uys, 1979) Die Van Aardes van Grootoor (1977/78), Appassionata by Pieter-Dirk Uys, 1982. Farce About Uys (Market Theatre, 1983), Rearranging the Deckchairs on the SA Bothatanic (1987), Cry Freemandela – The Movie at (the Warehouse in 1987), Paradise is Closing Down (Revisited) (Pieter-Dirk Uys, 1992).
