Anna Jacoba Maria Richter-Visser was born in 1914 to Schalk Willem Visser and his wife, Anna Maria Jacoba Meyer.  As stage actress she started in Cape Town when she acted in [[Maurice Maeterlinck]]’s ''[[Die Indringer]]'' (1935) in a performance for the [[Afrikaanse Nasionale Studentebond]] at the [[University of Cape Town]].  This was followed by [[C. Anna Richter-Visser (b. Bloemfontein, 13/05/1914 – d. Bloemfontein, 25/06/1997) was a stage, film and television actress, elocutionist, stage director, teacher, wardrobe designer and makeup artist.

Biography

Anna Jacoba Maria Richter-Visser was born in 1914 to Schalk Willem Visser and his wife, Anna Maria Jacoba Meyer. As stage actress she started in Cape Town when she acted in Maurice Maeterlinck’s Die Indringer (1935) in a performance for the Afrikaanse Nasionale Studentebond at the University of Cape Town. This was followed by C. Louis Leipoldt’s Die Heks for the Kaapstadse Afrikaanse Toneelvereniging. The cast also included her then new husband, A.M. Burger.
