(193*-) Freelance actress for radio, television and stage. Born in Namakwaland, studied at La Rochelle High School in Paarl and the University of Cape Town. Married Johan Botha She worked for PACOFS and SWAPAC in the late 1960s and early 1970s, where her roles include: ***, **, **. In the late 1970’s she became a freelance actor for radio, television, film and stage, a much sought after older actress. Stage roles include: Die Van Aardes van Grootoor (Baxter Theatre, 1977), Info Scandals (Pieter-Dirk Uys, 1979), Karnaval, (Market Theatre, 1981), My Seuns (1984), Straties by Braam van der Vyver (KKNK, 2004), *, Vrededorp by Charles Fourie (KKNK, 2005) , Faan se Stasie (2006), Die Sendeling (2011), Roepman (2011)**, .
Later in 2009 she and her husband Johan Botha performed in and had national success with Oupa en Ouma sit op die stoep , written for them and directed by Leon Kruger, followed in 2012 by the sequel Oupa en Ouma sit op die stoep en raak romanties, also written and directed byLeon Kruger. In 2012 they founded JohanLida Produksies, to tour the production, Johan now directing.
