Performance history in South Africa
1842: Performed in Cape Town on 9 June in the Garrison Theatre by the Garrison Players alongside Love, Law and Physic (Kenney) and Love in Humble Life (Payne).
1859: Performed in Simon's Town by the amateurs of "the Royal Naval Theatre of the H.M.S. Megaera" in the Simon's Town Theatre on 28 March, along with a scene from Macbeth (performed "in character" by Captain Nightingale), Fish out of Water (Lunn) and The Thumping Legacy (Morton)
