The Male Animal, a comedy written by American cartoonist, author, journalist, playwright, and celebrated wit James Thurber (1894-1961) [1] in collaboration with his college friend, Elliot Nugent. The play was staged on Broadway and later adapted into the film starring Henry Fonda and Olivia de Havilland.

1958: Directed by John McKelvey for the Cockpit Players at the Hofmeyr Hall, October 1958, starring Joan Blake, Leon Gluckman and John McKelvey. Decor by Bruce Palmer.
