Biography
Born in Upington in the Northern Cape, the youngest of 5 children, and grew up on the family farm Rooidam, Namibia and went to primary school in Bethanie.
Training
He completed a B.A at the University of Stellenbosch, Department of Drama , and a B.A. Honours degree in Drama at the University of Cape Town.

His stage career started in the 1980s and by the 1990s he was one of the leading bilingual performers in the country.

[“Boetman is the Hell In”] (Aardklop festival 2000); Die Toneelstuk (KKNK, 2001); Confessions of Zeno (Spier Amphitheatre, 2003); Romeo and Julia (Vleis, Rys, en Aartappels , 2005), Macbeth.slapeloos (Aardklop and KKNK, 2013-2015).
