Die Oorwinnaar: a radio play by Roy Niemann
The play
It is a conversation between a man and his former wife who meet by chance at an airport and during the course of the conversation it is determined who actually “won” in their relationship. The man committed adultery and admitted it in court while his wife had to listen to it silently, so that he was ostensibly the victor in court. However, she was expecting a child at the time and although the man thought the child was his, he now has to hear that it was not so.
The play has been broadcast repeatedly over the years. The text was published in Hoorspelkeur by Tafelberg Uitgewers in 1983.
