He studied at the Rhodes University Drama department in the late 1970s.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Roles in Excursion Oops and Workplay at The Space (Cape Town) in 1972.
As a student he directed Guernica by Ferdinand Arrabal, presented by the Rhodes University Drama Department in May 1977, In Camera (1978).
Absurd Person Singular, The Sand Labyrinth
He was a founder member of the production company Crate in Grahamstown in the late 1970s.
