(18*-19*) Professor of music and musician.

Biography

He was professor of music at the University of the Witwatersrand in the 1920s.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

In a production of The Tempest at the Palladium Theatre, Johannesburg by the University Players in 1923, he was part of an ensemble of six who provided incidental music.

He composed the operas Open or Shut and A Maid of Amsterdam.
