Derek Lyndon (19**-). English actor.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He first came to South Africa in 1963 to appear in Brian Brooke's It's Never Too Late and Mary Mary.

He returned to South Africa in 1978 for the role of Randall P McMurphy in A Man for All Seasons. Then followed The Guise, banned after eight performances, The Disguise of the Ashes that arose out of the Karnaval at Scarborough to prove that Leonardo was Right–an investigation of guilt and Joggers (as Wally Shapiro) all for the The Space.

He also starred in There's a Girl in my Soup. He played The Man in Groucho at Large in 1981.

Other roles were in Anyone for Denis?, The Odd Couple, Automatic Pilot, True West.
