A Phoenix too Frequent (1936) by British poet and playwright Christopher Fry (1907-2005). *** Val Donald, Anne Porter and Fitz Morley took a reading, held in libraries, of this play on tour for CAPAB as far as the Eastern Cape.

Produced by Joan Greyvenstein for University Theatre Stellenbosch in the Botha Hall in 1965, starring Sarita Minnaar, Sjoukje Strydom and Piers Nicholson.

Directed by Joan Brickhill and Louis Burke for the Tavern Theatre, Pretoria, opening 2 December 1968. Cast: Sybil Ferguson, Maureen McAllister, Louis Burke.

In 197* it ran as a lunch-hour presentation at The Space (Cape Town), directed by Robin Malan. The cast consisted of Yvonne Bryceland, Val Donald and Christopher Prophet, with Alastair Johnstone as stage manager and lighting designer.
