The Nedbank Arts Affinity programme
This is one of four multi-award winning programmes. Since inception the Nedbank Affinity programme has raised nearly R135 for arts and culture, sport development, helping needy children and the environment. As Arts Affinity clients bank or invest with Nedbank, Nedbank donates funds to support South African arts and culture in South Africa. The more they use their accounts, the more is donated to the Arts & Culture Trust.
Projects supported in urban centers have included the Johannesburg Youth Orchestra, the South African Mzanzi Ballet Outreach Programme, National School of the Arts and the South African Education and Environment Project. Regional projects include the Musikane Community Project from the North West University, a new South African play Garden Boy produced by KwaZulu-Natal based production company, Kasie Amazing Young Artists and "Coming Clean", an exhibition by Cassandra Wilmot from the Eastern Cape.
