Acting career
She worked for PACOFS and SWAPAC in the late 1960s and early 1970s. In the late 1970’s she became a freelance actor for radio, television, film and stage, a much sought after older actress.
Stage roles
These include: Die Van Aardes van Grootoor (Baxter Theatre, 1977), Info Scandals (Pieter-Dirk Uys, 1979), Karnaval, (Market Theatre, 1981), My Seuns (1984), Straties by Braam van der Vyver (KKNK, 2004), *, Vrededorp by Charles Fourie (KKNK, 2005) , Faan se Stasie (2006),
Later in 2009 she and her husband Johan Botha performed in and had national success with Oupa en Ouma sit op die stoep , written for them and directed by Leon Kruger, followed in 2012 by the sequel Oupa en Ouma sit op die stoep en raak romanties, also written and directed byLeon Kruger.
