Hirshfield's Theatre Company was a company of British actors presented in South Africa by the impresario Mr Hirshfield during 1888.
The company members had been selected in England by the actor J.A. Rosier, and also included Joseph Ashman, who made was his first Colonial appearance with this company and would go on to become a local theatre manager.
In June 1888 they appeared at the Exhibition Theatre, Cape Town, with a repertoire that included Sweet Lavender (Pinero), The Arabian Nights (Collier-Edwards and Dudley) and In His Power (Quinton).
