This translation was performed several times by theatre companies, e.g. by [[K.A.T.]] in the [[Little Theatre]] in 1940, directed by [[W.J.B. Pienaar]].
 
  
In 1958 the title was changed to ''Tussen Twee Liefdes'' ("Between two loves") and produced by the [[NTO]] under the direction of [[Leonard Schach]]. Performance history in South Africa

1940: Performed in Afrikaans as Hèléne by K.A.T. in the Little Theatre in 1940, directed by W.J.B. Pienaar.

1958: Produced in Afrikaans by the NTO with the title Tussen Twee Liefdes. Directed by Leonard Schach, with Babs Laker, Johann Nell and Pietro Nolte. Decor by Frank Graves and costumes by Doreen Graves. The production opened in the Hofmeyr Theatre on 5 August before going on tour.
