For Your Ears Only is stage comedy by Paul Slabolepszy (1948-)
Written in the form of a live radio play on stage, it takes , it takes a comic look at what happens behind the scenes in a radio studio, with a group of actors, a producer and a writer assembled in a radio studio to record a weekly "soapie" called The Soul of Sister Serious. Sub-titled What you hear is only half the story …. Some of the characters are taken from Radio Vuka, a SAfm radio play, for which Slabolepszy is head writer.
South African performances
2015: First performed at the Grahamstown Festival, then played in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban (where it was presented at the The Playhouse Drama Theatre by The Playhouse Company, from 9 December 2015). Directed by Ralph Lawson, with Paul Slabolepszy, Michael Richard, Louise Saint-Claire, Sibu Radebe, Michael Gritten, Bheki Mqadiand Bronwyn van Graan.
