Graduated from Rhodes University with a B.A. in English and Drama.
Career
She joined CAPAB in 1972 and turned to freelancing after 1977 .
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
As a student she had roles in Richard Gush of Salem, Peer Gynt, A Midsummer Night's Dream (as Titania), A Day in the Death of Joe Egg (1973).
Performed in Dear Daddy (as “Gillian” for Pieter Toerien and Shirley Firth), Tartuffe (as “Elmire” with CAPAB), Mrs Elvsted in Hedda Gabler, 1972, Miss Julie (CAPAB 1973), The Mandrake (CAPAB 1973) and in Rebecca (as “Mrs De Winter” with NAPAC). She played in Rookery Nook for CAPAB (1975),Pygmalion (CAPAB 1975), Blithe Spirit (1976), Arms and the Man (CAPAB 1977), Much Ado about Nothing Maynardville 1977.
The Playboy of the Western World as a student and later for CAPAB.
Awards, etc
Won a Three Leaf Arts Award for Best Leading Actress in 1976.
