Die Toorskilder is an Afrikaans version of a German children's puppet play by Hans Fursche ().
Not to be confused with Der magische Maler, an art book by Hermann Altenburger (Author, Illustrator), Tom Baccei (Illustrator). Published by Ars Edition GmbH in 1996
The original text
Probably written in German and accredited to by Hans Fursche, then translated into Afrikaans as Die Toorskilder by Rina Botha. Thirty eight copies of the Afrikaans text found in the Stellenbosch Drama Department's theatre archives and now held in the Performing Arts Research Collection (PARC) at the Africa Open Institute for Music, Research and Innovation, with offices at Pieter Okkers House, 7 Joubert Street, Stellenbosch, South Africa.
