Oswald van Blerk (19**-). Poet, actor.

Biography

He attended school in Kimberley.

Youth

Training

Career

During the Second World War he had an entertainment group in the Middle East and Egypt. Back in South Africa he joinded the S.A. Broadcasting Corporation in Durban.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He had roles in Dear Brutus (Mr Dearth), An Inspector Calls (1948), Altyd My Liefste, The Skin of our Teeth (1946).

In 1968 he produced a production of Julius Caesar presented by Clapham High School.

He directed How Jan Klaasens Cured the King (Pretoria Theatre for Children, 1978).
