Woord en Masker ("Word and Mask") is an Afrikaans collection of one-act plays compiled by Gerhard J. Beukes (1913 - 1998).
The collection
Subtitled: " 'n Keur uit die Afrikaanse eenbedrywe byeengebring en van 'n inleiding voorsien" ("A selection of Afrikaans one-act plays, collated and provided with an introduction"), the volume contains:
Die drama (an introduction by the compiler)
Alle Paaie gaan na Rome by Uys Krige;
Die End van die Reënboog by W.A. de Klerk;
Dienie Speel Toneel by Hélène P. de Klerk;
Perske vir 'n Rand by Dirk Richard;
Die Vrees by Gerhard J. Beukes.
First published by J.L. van Schaik in 1964, and a number of times subsequently.
