His play No Love toured Transvaal townships.
He took part in several workshop productions, among others Wipe a Tear and Death Before Birth. He also appeared in Travelling Shots, Death and the King's Horseman, Romeo and Juliet, Maru, Kweku Ananse, The Life and Times of Johnny Cockroach (1999). He played Gert Garries in Die Eend in 1993. Bloke, Bopha! (2012), For Your Ears Only, Donkerland, Generaal Mannetjies Mentz, Maru, Pantagleize (PACT 1988), The Blacks, Romeo and Juliet, The Sleeping Beauty, Death and the King's Horseman, Travelling Shots, Kwaggapolitiek, Dark City, Full Circle, Nog 'n Kooi... Nog 'n Vlooi!, Radio Vuka, Ons vir Jou.
Samson Khumalo is best known for his role as Percy Mlambo on the M-Net sitcom The Coconuts, in 2008.
