Nicola Hanekom (1974-) is an actress playwright and director for stage, film and TV.

Biography
She was born on 19 August 1974 in Bellville, she matriculated at the Groote Schuur High School in Cape Town in 1992. She is married to the actor Grant Swanby.
Training
Completed a bilingual Performer's Diploma at the University of Cape Town in 1995.
Career
Since completing her studies she has been freelancing. She has coached acting privately and taught voice and interpretation at AMAC in Cape Town.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
She portrayed the Afrikaans poet Ingrid Jonker in the stage production Altyd Jonker, acted in Ek, Anna van Wyk. Other performances include Diepe Grond, 1995, As You Like It, Samoerai, The Taming of the Shrew (1996), Skelmstreke, The Tent, Darkie, The SA UFO Crash (1999), Teer, Smag (2008).
