Biography
Grew up in Clocolan, Free State. Died at the age of 59 in 2015.
Training
Obtained a BA Drama from UOVS in 1976.
Career
Was with PACT Playwork from 1977-1979.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Performed in Saterdag, Sondag, Maandag (with PACT), Bobaas van die Boendoe, Kom Terug, Klein Sheba (1980), Die Verhoor, Ebenezer Pennieknyper (1982).
Piet-My-Vrou, Drome van Gruis.
Appeared on television in Sterretjie, Vyfster and Transkaroo. He was also the presenter of Idols and Glitterati. He was also involved in Top Billing, Kunskafee, Kwêla, , Front Row, Idols, Issues of Faith, The Apprentice SA, Zing 1 & 2, Liriekeraai, Villa Rosa, Heinz Winckler, Verdrinkte Hande (about Ingrid Jonker), The unauthorised Biography of Edwin Cameron.
He had a chat program Glitterati on TV in 2007. He wrote Agter die Skerms, a biographical work about television directors, producers and actors, published by Tafelberg in 2012.

[[Nasionale Televisie- en Video-assosiasie-toekennings (NTVA) for Cycle with Aids (Carte Blanche) and Hats (Revue-Plus), Stone-toekennings for Snails, Why Cape Town?, Hylton Nel and Vincent Mantsoe. He also received Avanti's for Lambro, Scot Johnson, Eris Silke. In 1995 het got an Avanti for the best documentary program Verdrinkte Hande. He received a People for Crystal Award for the series SA Fear Factor 2.
