The original text
A comedy about the weakness of men, it was first performed in *** and first published in the December 1951 edition of the theatre journal Helikon and then included in the 1952 collection Nuwe Eenbedrywe ("New One-act Plays")(Van Schaik) by Gerhard Beukes. Also published in in Kom Ons Speel Toneel by Van Schaik (1960) and in Kollig: Vyf Eenbedrywe by Tafelberg (1982).
