Born in Namibia, he studied at UCT, and went on to work at SWARUK, PACOFS (since 1990) and as a freelance actor.
He passed away on 24 October, 2024.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
Wrote scripts for the MNet series Egoli – Plek van Goud and the screenplay for the feature film Egoli: the Movie (2010).
As actor on stage he was seen in Die Goue Kring and Die Goeie Mens van Sezuan in 1976, The Odd Couple (CAPAB Drama 1983); Twaalfde Nag (SUKOVS 1984); TV Revue or Apocalypse Sommer Now-Now (PACOFS 1985); Harold en Maude (SWARUK Toneel 1986); Soldate Vryers (SWAPAC, 1987), Die Nag van Legio (SUKOVS 1990); Oedipus Rex (SUKOVS Toneel, 1990); The Sleeping Beauty (PACT Drama); Flikflooie (SUKOVS Toneel 1991); Diensmeisies, (SUKOVS 1991); Nag, Generaal (SUKOVS 1991); Die Aand van 16 Januarie; Die Kwinkslaers (1994); the pantomime Rooikappietjie (1996); as both George and Hilton in Griet Skryf 'n Sprokie (KKNK 1997); Die Keiser (TRUK 1998); Brolloks en Bittergal (KKNK 1998); My Vrou se Man se Vrou (1999).
