Created through a workshop process which began in October 1988.

Published in the collection At the Junction: Four Plays by the Junction Avenue Theatre Company by Wits University Press, Johannesburg, in 1995.

1989: Directed by Malcolm Purkey. Cast : Craig Freimond, Daphney Hlomuka, Basil Jones, Adrian Kohler, Megan Kruskal, Ramolao Makhene, Gladwin Marumo, Doreen Mawibuko, Arthur Molepo, Tale Motsepe at the Market Theatre.

1991: Tooth and Nail was extensively reworked for the Standard Bank National Arts Festival by Carol Steinberg and Malcolm Purkey. Directed by Purkey, assisted by Carol Steinberg, starring Daphney Hlomuka, Grace Mahlaba, Ramolao Makhene, Tale Motsepe, Orna Shifren, Raphael Vilakazi, Megan Kruskal, Gys de Villiers, Patrick Shai and Francois Venter. Design and lighting design Sarah Roberts, puppets Handspring Puppet Company, musical director Orna Shifren.
