The Goose with the Golden Eggs is a farce in one act by Augustus Mayhew (1826-1875) and Henry Sutherland Edwards (1828-1906).

The original text

First performed at The Strand Theatre, London, on 1 September, 1859.

Published in London by Thomas Hailes Lacy as Lacy's acting edition no 654 and by Samuel French in 1859 and in Chicago by the Dramatic Publishing Company
