Shaka Zulu is an SABC television series.

A miniseries of 10 episodes about the life of the Zulu king and military leader Shaka kaSenzangakhona (c. 1787 –1828)[1], better known outside Zulu culture as "Shaka Zulu" or "Shaka" in English and "Tsjaka" in Afrikaans. First broadcast October 24 – December 19, 1986.
Directed by William C. Faure and written by Joshua Sinclair for the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), based on Sinclair's novel of the same name (1985). The series starred Henry Cele in the title role, and also included Edward Fox, Robert Powell, Trevor Howard, Fiona Fullerton, Christopher Lee, Dudu Mkhize, Roy Dotrice, Gordon Jackson, Kenneth Griffith, Conrad Magwaza, Patrick Ndlovu, Roland Mqwebu, Gugu Nxumalo, Tu Nokwe, Daphney Hlomuka.
The composer was Dave Pollecutt and the theme song was sung by Margaret Singana. Edited by Bill Lenny A.C.E and Ettie Feldman.
