He performed in Excursion Oops and Workplay at The Space (Cape Town) in 1972.

As a student he directed Guernica by Ferdinand Arrabal, presented by the Rhodes University Drama Department in May 1977, In Camera (1978).

He had roles in Absurd Person Singular, The Sand Labyrinth

He was a founder member of the production company Crate in Grahamstown in the late 1970s.
