Chad Abrahams (19*-). Actor in theatre, radio and television.

Biography

Born in the Cape.

Career

Community work includes managing the Department of Community Safety's anti-drug campaign Choose 2 Live and co-founding and chairing the organization Party with a Purpose Productions, which hosts dialogue sessions and social events, and promotes community development through the arts.(200*-).

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

Theatre

Credits include Vatmaar (Baxter Theatre, 2002) and Cardboard Dreams (Johannesburg Civic and Baxter Theatre, 2002), Salaam Stories (Baxter Theatre, 2002), Buckingham Palace District Six (Baxter Theatre, 2000-2001), Shirley, Goodness and Mercy (Baxter Theatre, 2007).

Became a household name with his performances as "Hadji Fatgiyah Bardien" in Let’s Mix It (Baxter Theatre, 2006-2008), Let's Mix It 2, Mengelmoes (the Afrikaans version of Let's Mix It, 2008), Let's Mix It 2.8GLX (2008/09) and Lets Mix It: The Samoosa Trinity (2009).

Television

Credits include Going Up Again, Fishy Fêshuns, Madam and Eve and Mazinyo Dot Q.
