A violent reinterpretation of Shakespeare's text, first produced in South Africa in 2005 by Vleis, Rys, en Aartappels, directed and designed by Marthinus Basson and featuring Rolanda Marais, Laudo Liebenberg, Basson, Antoinette Kellermann, Jana Cilliers, Dawid Minnaar, Mbulelo Grootboom and Jannie Gagiano. It premiéred at the Klein Karoo Nasionale Kunstefees in March. See also Romeo and Juliet.
