A Phoenix too Frequent by Christopher Fry. *** Val Donald, Anne Porter and Fitz Morley took a reading, held in libraries, of this play on tour for CAPAB as far as the Eastern Cape. (Source: Grütter, Wilhelm, CAPAB 25 Years, 1987. Unpublished research. p 414)
In 197* it ran as a lunch-hour presentation at The Space (Cape Town), directed by Robin Malan. The cast consisted of Yvonne Bryceland, Val Donald and Christopher Prophet, with Alastair Johnstone as stage manager and lighting designer.
