Berdine Grünewald played the ill-fated heroine and Johann Nell and André Walters (as Armand Duval) played the other leading roles. The play also visited Stellenbosch, Worcester and Bellville. According to the programme Wilhelmien van Zyl did the translation but Clermont, Nerina Ferreira, Laurie van der Merwe and Berdine Grünewald did a lot of work on the script. An Afrikaans group was directed by Fitz Morley in East London in 1966.
