Biography
Born in Pretoria in 1973, went to work abroad in his youth and completed a degree in Psychology with a major in Criminology. He currently lives and works in Johannesburg.
Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance
His serious writing career started with two of his stories being read on RSG in 2009 (Grondpad and Die Doodskis), after which the writing bug bit him. He has continued to write since then, mostly about ghosts and other evils that lurk in the dark, because "a story with ghosts is like eating your food with chillies".
His songs have been used in shows like Amper and Buite lê die Nag and are often heard on the radio.
Other broadcast works include Naand, Josef (2022), Die Stomme Moses (2023), Wysie oor die Water (2024 - adapted for radio and recorded by the visually impaired staff and students of the radio studio at the Innovation for the Blind in Worcester).
Radio serials include Sonsak oor Verlatensrus ()
