Wysie oor die Water ("Tune across the water") is a short story by Albert Short (1973-).

The original text

A story about a girl finds herself on the deck of a ship during a stormy night, even though she knows that the safest place would actually be her cabin. Nevertheless, she stays, and meets and bonds with a mysterious young man, and amid the confusion of waves, seawater, and wind. Yet just as a storm at sea brings fear and confusion, it also brings calm and peace. And new opportunities and experiences.
