Die Spieël en die Weerkaatsing ("The mirror and the reflection") is a collection of Afrikaans one-act plays compiled and edited by Temple Hauptfleisch (1945-)

The collection

A collection of plays to be used as school setwork, it was published by Academica publishers in 1985. Widely prescribed, the volume was reprinted a number of times afterwards.

Besides an introduction on the nature of theatre and the one-act play by Temple Hauptfleisch it contains the following four plays:

Boomhuis, Droomhuis (Temple Hauptfleisch)

Die Boelie (Pirow Bekker)

'n Pakkie van Gister (Elsabe Steenberg)

Die Óórmaak van Mnr Venter (Anton Haarhoff)
