It Runs in the Family is a 1987 farce by English playwright Ray Cooney (1932- ) [1].
Translations and adaptations
Adapted and translated into Afrikaans for PACOFS by Wim Vorster, under the title Hospitaal op Horings ("Hospital in Chaos").
Performance history in South Africa
1992: Wim Vorster's Afrikaans translation Hospitaal op Horings was staged by PACOFS in the Bloemfontein Civic Theatre, directed by Ilse van Hemert, with Gerben Kamper (Dr David Mortimore), Christo Compion (Dr Michael Conradie), Marga van Rooy (Rosemary Mortimore), Pieter Brand (Dr Hubert Aucamp), Petro-Nelise Trichardt (Matrone Malan), Jannie Gildenhuys (Prof Verloren Van Themaat), Isadora Verwey (Jane Tate), Corien Pelt (Suster Theresa), Hannes van Wyk (Leslie), Cobus Fourie (Polisiesersant), Ernst Eloff (Bill) and Anna Richter-Visser (Moeder). Stage design by Johnny Boerstoel and lighting by Wladyslaw Czerepowicz.
