Biography

Youth

Training

Studied drama at the University of Pretoria and completed his BA (Hons) drama and fIlm studies degree in 2010.

Career

In 2004, Luan received international colours and recognition as a trampoline artist. This boosted his interest in physical theatre, mime, circus, clowning and dancing.

Contribution to SA theatre, film, media and/or performance

He cut his acting teeth on student productions including Macbeth and Three Sisters and portrayed John Proctor in Pieter Brand's The Crucible in 2011.

He participated in a number of movement shows such as Black Wood, choreographed by Picter Human, Hats, choreographed by Pieter Bosch Botha, Three Wall Temple directed and choreographed by Nico Scheepers, and One Way, choreographed by Ovation Award-winner Nicola Haskins.

He appeared in Somewhere on the Border (as conscript Paul Marais), 2011-2012, Vettie-Vettie (2014).
