The original text

Written in “Kaaps”, or "Cape Afrikaans, it is a play about municipal workers and the effect on them of finding an abandoned baby in a drain.


Translations and adaptations

Performance history in South Africa

First performed in the Jospeh Stone Auditorium by the Belhar Amateur Drama in 1975. Also done by Unison Players in 1977 and 1978. Later expanded to become Die Drein.
