Die Drein ("The Drain ") is a full lenth play by Peter Snyders.

The original text

A full length play written in “Kaaps”, or "Cape Afrikaans", about municipal workers and the effect on them of finding an abandoned baby in a drain.

It is an expansion of Snyders's 1975 one-act play Voor Dit Gebeur (performed in 1975 and 1977) and performed as Die Drein in 1988.

1988: Die Drein first performed in the Nico Arena frfom 25 May to 4 June 4.
