Biography
Born on 14 July 1950 in Irati, Paraná, Brazil, she began her career as a playwright, director and actress in 1968, performing in her home country. In 1987, while visiting New York for four months on a Fullbright scholarship, she created Denise Stoklos in Mary Stuart for La Mama Theatre, continuing to premier her plays in New York each year. Among them Hamlet in Irati, Casa, and numerous other.
She has published seven books of plays and performs her works in Portuguese, Spanish, English, French, Russian, Ukrainian and German, appearing at important international events in thirty-one different countries.
