(Ons his website Pieter-Dirk Uys mentions a Melanie-Anne Asher as a performer in the first production of Paradise is Closing Down at the Grahamstown Festival in 1977 (http://pdu.co.za/works.html). But elsewhere the name is written Melanie-Ann Sher, also in subsequent production of Paradise is Closing Down at the Market Theatre. Presumably this is the same person.)
