Leslee Udwin (1957-) is an actress and producer.
Biography
Born in Savyon, Israel, to a European Jewish family with roots in England, Germany and Lithuania, she grew then relocated to South Africa with her family when she was nine years old. They spent the next ten years there.
While studying she worked in theatre, performing for local theatres, including the Space Theatre in Cape Town. Since she felt her work possibilities in South Africa were limited, she moved to London in 1978 at age twenty-one, where she has since built a remarkable career as actress and film producer.
